Around Vienna

Today we visited the Belvedere Palace area; a grand building and grounds where you get a sense of what life was like for the wealthy.  the Palace is now an art museum.  Most of the original building furniture, fixtures etc. were removed during the last War.  We then wandered to the Imperial Palace complex with the hope to see the silver collection and Imperial apartments but were informed after purchasing our entry that we were not allowed to take an electric chair because of the weight.  This despite the fact that a 200 Kilo person in a manual chair could gain entry but a person in an electric chair with a combined weight of 130 Kilo is too heavy - very odd, and disappointing.  Nevertheless we made the best of our time seeing the local area before heading back to the hotel for a break.  Out for dinner at a local restaurant with a massive serving of Weiner Schnitzel and potato salad for Laurel and the girls and a blood sausage dish for Edward with a fresh vinegar cabbage salad with caraway.  Too stuffed for dessert we headed back to the hotel to get ready for travel to Hungary tomorrow.
